Dwight Bachman donated a collection of photographs and video media to the archives in the summer of 2004. More photographs were received in 2009 and a third donation of photographs, news clippings, video tapes and media files were received in the summer of 2012. The online collection was composed of sample photographs taken from this collection. Samples were selected by date in order to provide a chronological overview of the photographs as a whole. |
The collection has materials that focus on the presidency of David G. Carter Sr. at ECSU, from 1988-2005. These materials included some of Carter’s correspondence, speeches read by Carter at events, as well as photographs and videos. Other materials include research files and news clippings kept by Bachman for writing about noteworthy individuals and events, especially Carter himself. Also included were slides of photographs and photograph negatives that were used for public relations purposes. |
